Who's behind Terranaut.
Terranaut turns a route file into a 3D race map on an endurance event's own website.
Why we exist
The course page is usually the most visited page on a race website, and on most races it's a PDF or a screenshot of the route. Terranaut replaces it with a map that briefs the athletes and carries the organiser's own sponsors, embedded on the race site with one iframe.
What we believe
- The organiser owns the page. Terranaut embeds into the event's own website rather than pulling the audience away to ours.
- Sponsor placements on the map are the organiser's own choice. Terranaut never inserts its own advertising into a customer's map.
- An organiser with a route file should be able to publish the course map themselves.
The team
Terranaut is operated by Terranaut (Pty) Ltd, the team behind RaceMap Studio. Same team, same maps. The app still runs at app.racemap.studio while the brand moves to Terranaut.
